a) Ionian Mode - fingering and root note is the same as for major scale.

b) Dorian Mode - root note is 2nd note of major scale.

c) Phrygian Mode - root note is 3rd note of major scale.

d) Lydian Mode - root note is 4th note of major scale (contains raised (or sharp) 4th).
